Welcome Message

Greeting from the President of the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology

It is my great pleasure to announce that the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology will be held from Wednesday, July 1 to Friday, July 3, 2026, at Grand Cube Osaka, located in Nakanoshima, Osaka.
The theme of this year’s meeting is:
“Evolving Toxicology – Innovation Emerging from the Confluence of Diverse Fields”
This theme reflects our recognition that toxicology is currently undergoing a major transformation. We believe that by bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines, backgrounds, and cultures, we can foster the emergence of new and unprecedented knowledge. Toxicology continues to evolve at the intersection of life sciences, chemistry, environmental science, AI and data science, and even the social sciences.
From my perspective in the pharmaceutical industry, I am constantly reminded of the significant impact toxicology has on society. The introduction of new technologies and evaluation methods, alignment with regulatory frameworks, and responses to global challenges all require close collaboration among industry, academia, and regulatory authorities. Through this annual meeting, we aim to create a platform where such diverse knowledge can intersect and where we can collectively envision the future direction of toxicology.
The host city, Osaka, has long thrived as a crossroads of people, goods, and information. Today, it remains a vibrant hub of industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and food, and is home to many academic and research institutions. I believe that Osaka’s unique character as a place of convergence resonates deeply with the theme of this meeting.

This year, we are strengthening our collaboration with toxicological societies in Europe, North America, and across Asia, and are planning a wide range of international symposia. In addition, we will designate one of the meeting rooms as an “International Room,” where English will be the primary language throughout the conference. This initiative is designed to create a more inclusive environment for researchers from around the world and to promote international exchange and dialogue on the future of toxicology from a global perspective.

We hope that this meeting, held in the vibrant atmosphere of Osaka just after the excitement of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, will serve as a dynamic forum where your passion and knowledge intersect to help shape the future of toxicology.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming many of you to Osaka.
